Happy Friday! Time to wrap up this week and get ready for the next! Take a deep breath and kick off the weekend on a positive note. Let's consider where we have been, improve it, and move forward next week. Packing the most content into the least words and trying to change the world, one glass at a time.

3 - Wine Terms - Visual Aspects  + Bonus

1. Meniscus: The edge where the wine meets the glass. A distinctive and clear meniscus often indicates a young wine. As wine ages, the meniscus will the color spread will become more gradual and darken. Aged white wines will become more amber while reds become more brick color.

2. Wine Tears & Legs: The droplets that form on the sides of the wine glass after swirling. The abundance of tears does not indicate quality, but the amount of alcohol and/or sugar content in the wine. After studying many samples, one can begin to judge the alcohol content though visual appearance alone

3. Wine Diamonds: Small often clear crystals that form in a wine bottle often clinging to the cork or laying on the bottom. These are not harmful to eat and often indicate a high quality wine.

4. Sediment: Sometimes wine will drop sediment or flaky crystals as it ages, this is not harmful and one of the primary reasons old wines are decanted to remove the sediment before serving.

Note: a little bit of cork or an occasional fruit fly will not harm you. Don't waste a glass of wine for this reason - some would say doing so is a form of alcohol abuse (that is abusing the alcohol)

2 - Quotes from Me:

1. "It's fine if you don't know where you are going, most people don't - just keep looking" ~ The Zen Winemaker

2. "When tasting wine, spitting good wine is not a form of alcohol abuse, drinking bad wine is." ~ The Zen Winemaker

1 - Question to ponder:

I just attended a funeral and the Imam (spiritual leader) spoke about how we each have three things:

1. Our relations - family and friends
2. Our possessions - material items, money and status
3: Our deeds - what we have done in life

Upon death, we leave behind our Relations and our Possessions and only take our Deeds to the grave.

What are you taking with you?

Something to ponder:

If you shared this newsletter with 2 people, who then each share with two people, how many times would this need to be done to reach every human on earth? Answer
